I have to do an essay based on UFO's and I have to get at least 5 sources from the library and from Internet. My only problem was that I've lost my library card a little after graduating from college, so I decided to use my brother's library card.
Now, mind you that I haven't been in a library for a little over six years. When I got to the Sunnyside Public Library, to begin with, was under construction. They were open but only a portion of the whole building and it resembled to me like it was a sardine can.
I ask for books so I can start my research paper on UFO's and ask the Librarian if I could use my brother's library card, to what she replied "no." She offered to get a new one and all I have to show her was my driver's license and I obtained my library card on the spur of the moment. I was happy because in the past was a little harder to get one.
Since they were under construction all they had was books for children and I had to go to another branch close to that one which is located on Skillman Ave. and 54th Street. I walked there because after all was a nice and sunny day.
It's a nice library and there are a lot of books, I was able to get two books for my project, but when I was checking out, my card wasn't working just because the librarian who process my new card forgot to assign a PIN number.
Luckily the librarian at the Woodside branch helped me get one and was able to get the books. I never knew how easy was to get a library card these days. You can even get it online. Thank god for technology.
